Lion Marty is a 29-year Lions member with perfect attendance. She was originally a Lioness member with the chartered Munroe Falls Lioness Club in 1983 and has been a member of the Stow-Munroe Falls Club since 1992. She served as the Lioness District 13-C President (1985-1986), most offices within her Lions club and has been a part of the MD 13-C Lions District Cabinet since 1992. She has held positions of Zone Chairperson for three District Governors; was MD 13-C’s State/District Public Relations Chairperson, and served as the State/District Leadership Development Chairperson.

Lion Marty has received several International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, four District Governor’s Awards, and is a Melvin Jones Fellow along with her husband, Lion Dick. She and Lion Dick are also Guiding Lions.

Lion Marty retired in 2006 from Summit County Children Services as an Administrative Manager within their Community Relations Department. Lion Dick also retired in 2006 as an office furniture sales executive.

Lions Marty and Dick have been married for 40 years, have two married daughters (one in Stow, OH with 2 children and the other daughter lives in Denver, CO), and they have a married son who lives in Portland, OR. They are long-time members of the North Coast Miata Club; love traveling throughout the U.S.; enjoy their two dogs (Snowie and Maggie); love retirement and serving the Lions of Ohio. Lion Marty's theme for 2010-2011 is "Inspiring Youth for Tomorrow's Leaders".
